Do you wrap stocking stuffers?

My sister just asked this poll on her FB because we grew up with them not wrapped and so many people are saying to wrap them lol

Re: Do you wrap stocking stuffers?

  • God no. I wrap the presents that go under the tree. That's enough.

I'm gonna go with 'not my circus, not my monkeys.'
  • Our family always wrapped them. I don't know why, because they're hidden in a stocking, but even now that we're all adults, my parents still fill stockings with small, wrapped gifts for us.

  • I do, for some of them.  It's about half and half, depending on what it is

  • No, they get stuck in the stocking and that's it.

  • It depends. If it's a small actual gift like earbuds I'll wrap them. Other misc stocking stuffers just get tossed in.

  • We always used stocking for lame stuff like deodorant and scissors so it seems silly to wrap those hahaha

  • Nope. We just stick them in the stocking.

  • I'll wrap some of them.  Especially since H and I for the last few years have ONLY done stockings for each other, so it felt lame to just give each other a stocking of little things.  We wrap some of them to at least prolong the gift opening process and make it more fun.

We always did (except for the coal). My parents gave me my stocking *sob* ;-) and I don't think my FI's family did stockings really so he's not into it. Makes me sad. I'll force the tradition on him when we have kids.

  • His family did, my family didn't... but since H hates wrapping, he went with no.
  • I always do.

  • My mom's favorite thing about Christmas was always the stockings, so every little thing in there got wrapped.  I still do it for almost everything, even boxes of candy, unless it's small loose candy.  I think it makes the stockings more special because they last longer.

  • No. Usually it's small stuff like candy and some lotto ticket scratchers

  • Depends on the gift. Small, loose things like lipbalm, no. Something small but boxed, yes.

  • I usually do, but it's very unnecessary.

  • My sibs and I only do stockings for the parents. I would sometimes wrap them so I could put a label on so they would know it was from me rather than one of my other sibs. I usually don't though and just tell them what was from me.
  • The stocking itself is the "wrapping".  Although, the stockings my parents have were hand-knit, so they're pretty tight around whatever gets shoved in there, so whatever pops out is a surprise.  There isn't a wide opening or anything where you could easily peek in.  If it was easy to see in, I could understand wrapping certain things.
  • If I have time, yes. Otherwise I'll tie a ribbon around a few things or put bows on them and call it a day.

  • We don't unless it's a small actual gift that gets put in the stocking.  We don't want to spend time wrapping up tic tacs and gum :)

No way. There is enough wrapping already!

  • I just wrapped one of H's stocking stuffers.  The only reason I did is because I'm not sure if it will fit in his stocking or not with the other stuff.  If it doesn't, it goes under the metaphorical tree (there isn't one) with his other gift.  If it does, I'll have to decide whether it goes under the tree or in the stocking.
