It's Christmas Eve!!! What are your plans today? :)

We have a client who has been particularly insufferable lately, so I'm in the office for a few hours today (yuck). I'm hoping to get everything wrapped up around noon, then I'm making a big Christmas Eve feast for us, and our neighbors might come over. DS has been bouncing off the walls for the past week; it's the first year he's really getting into it. We're going to write our letter to Santa and say goodbye to the Elf on the Shelf (cheers to THAT being over. What was I thinking?).

Tonight I'm doing all of the wrapping and guzzling wine. Merry Christmas everyone!

I'm in the office until about noon today.  After work, my H and I are going to the movies and dinner for my birthday before heading out to midnight mass.

Right now I'm finishing a paper I got an extension on from last week (why oh why didn't I do this already?)  Then FI and I are heading down to his parents' house for a big Italian Christmas Eve dinner and party.  Everybody have fun and be safe on the roads!

My company shut down for the week so FI and I went out to breakfast this morning. We don't really have family, and we're enjoying the few quiet years before kids, so we're lounging in pj's all day and making our favorite home made sushi for dinner!

DH and I don't work today, so I'm making a nice dinner and then we'll head to Midnight Mass.

Between now and then, we both have to finish wrapping some presents.

We are in FL visiting my husband's family. We went for breakfast and are chilling until it's dark. Then we are going to go to other neighborhoods and look at Christmas lights.

I am at work grumbling that I lost the sales contest that would allow me to leave early. Instead I lost so I'll be here till 2pm.

I was hoping to make cookies with my kids but we won't have time. So we will just clean up the house and ourselves then fancy up and head to FIs family Christmas celebration. Then late night wrapping and wining at home with FI tonight.

I'm at my dad's in Philadelphia. We are preparing for the annual modified Seven Fishes meal (it's an italian thing). Ours is more like Three Fishes. Then tomorrow I'm driving with FI and my brother to my mom's in Virginia driving through the DC corridor on Christmas Day--fun times.

FI and I are getting ready to head up to my Moms for our Christmas with her. We spent the morning playing games (and him wrapping my presents while I slept in. Teased him last night about how I've been working almost nothing but night shifts for the last two weeks which meant I wasn't getting home till about midnight or later each night and he still hadn't wrapped my presents) 

We'll come home late and wine and play more games.

I'm stuck at work until 5 Hoping to sneak out early though, because it's fairly dead here. As long as I don't get any urgent escalations, I'm good.

Debating Midnight Mass tonight, but I think my icewine vodka is calling my name...

I'm working all day to make my first Christmas Eve Tourtiere. Then FI and I are gonna head out get some Hot Chocolate and drive around to look at Christmas lights.

At work for a half day, then heading to the beach! DH has his aunt and uncle in town, so might meet up with them later.

I'm working for another hour or so -- I've been here since 0630 CST. I plan to go home and play The Sims all evening while watching like... Star Trek or Red Dwarf. We might also have a friend over, but we haven't decided yet.

MIL is doing turkey tonight.  And everyone is coming to our house tomorrow morning for breakfast and gifts, so I'm frantically trying to clean up the house somewhat.  Kitchen is don't at least.  And I have a couple of things I want to return to shops today, since I won't be able to do it after Christmas with the no returns for a few days policy all storers seem to have

I had consultation with a florist this morning (and I just want to get the estimate back so I can say "YES!" I adore everything she said today) and then I went to bake a cherry pie with my Grandma. She taught me how to bake and it's a Christmas tradition that we make something for our family dinner each year.

Now I'm home wrapping presents (with lots of beer...it's needed...I'm AWFUL at wrapping) and then going to 9:00 candlelight service at the Church.

Woohoo! Christmas is almost here!

I played piano for the kiddie Christmas pageant at church this afternoon.  I substituted the Three Dog Night version of "Joy to the World" with appropriate re-written lyrics.  Everybody loved it.
Tonight I go to the candle light service, where I won't have to perform.
Tomorrow we skype with the kids.  We are lucky and have a guest coming to Christmas dinner in the afternoon.

Just got back from "Christmas" with my side of the family.  My grandparents, sisters, mom, and their S/Os were all there.  It went pretty good.  Tomorrow morning my FI and I will have our little Christmas celebration and then head off to his parents' place for dinner.

I had to work full day yesterday (Christmas Eve), and I'm working a half-day today because social media sucks like that. I'm working New Year's as well. But I did sneak away for a little bit for FMIL's traditional egg nog party, which was fun.

I'm trying to get most of my work out of the way now so I only have to hop on a couple of times during the day to post the things that can't be scheduled ahead of time and respond to queries and complaints etc. Then I'm going to go to breakfast with the FILs once FI wakes up, and we'll open presents and all that good stuff.

@tmclawchick I worked Christmas Eve and I work Christmas Day as well as New Years Eve and New Years Day

Was at my sister's FIs house for a Christmas Eve party.  Poor H has to work until 2 a.m. (night shift).  He comes home in a couple hours.  Apparently, a few years ago, his company would let everyone leave early but clock them out at 2 so they'd get their normal hours paid without having to work.  But they stopped doing that a few years ago.

Did Christmas at my mom's tonight and had a great time. FI is officially family my mom bought him PJ's like she does for all the kids every year (no bf's ever got PJ's)! I did want to smack my 16 year old sister during presents; she got a shitload of stuff but sat there pissed off with every present because she hadn't gotten the boots she wanted. She actually piled everything up and said she was exchanging it all next week before storming off. "Santa" was bringing the boots tomorrow, but now looks like they will be going back to the store.
