DJ recommendations

I'm getting married in October in Rhinecliff, NY and am searching for a DJ. I currently live in DC so I'm planning this wedding long distance and am having trouble figuring out how to find a great DJ. They have such an influence on the overall outcome of the day, I really want a good DJ who can read the room, adjust his music choice as we go, and will listen to our play/ do not play list. I have had several friends be upset on their wedding day because they DJ was playing songs they had specifically asked him not to. Anyone have recommendations??

This is who I'm using. He is located in New Paltzish. Really great guy, and left a very good first impression. He often posts videos of events that hes DJing at and theres always people up and dancing. I suggest meeting with him to see if you click with him.

I had a friend call around to get prices.  From there I went with who was within my budget & called those.  For me it was about who I felt I clicked with the most.  I did this all by phone or email.  I wound up choosing Stylez Entertainment. http://www.stylezentertainment.com. I'm excited to work with him in the coming months.
