I've been on the hunt for our perfect honeymoon location for several months now and still haven't found or booked it yet. FH is usually very active and I would love to lay on the beach with cocktails and eat great food, sight see, etc. If there was access to 4x4, snorkel, hike and lay on the beach we'd both be happy. Also he is an extremely picky eater (no seafood, no sauces, no soups, no condiments) and I am not, but I have a gluten sensitivity. We will be traveling mid-end of May 2014.
I keep coming back to Cocobay Resort because it is in our price range ($6k total including airfare from Salt Lake City, preferably) and looks beautiful. I have read great reviews...and then plenty of reviews about getting food positing. Is this a common thing? I feel like several AI resorts I have looked in to have multiple reviews about being sick for half of their Honeymoon. That would be my worst nightmare. Has anyone been here? Is this a legit concern and what can you tell me about the area, how long is "long enough" to stay, etc.
Also - does anyone have experience traveling to Barbados or something beautiful/affordable near the water in Italy (such as Capri)?
I need to book our trip very soon and I'm so indecisive. Any input will help! Thank you.
