Help! Don't know which island to go to

Hi Brides

We are getting married March 21, 2015- I know its early but we are paying so need to budget and plan out expenses. Which island is good to go to during March-April? My fiance and I would love to do a booze cruise and fun things but also relax and not be with a bunch of spring breakers. Looking into Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, St Maarten, St Lucia.. Open to suggestions and tips!

None of those islands are known for big spring break crowds (at least from the US).

Antigua has BEAUTIFUL beaches and some more active excursions but not as highly developed as some islands.

Barbados has BEAUTIFUL beaches and you can go snorkeling with sea turtles!

I've never been to Grenada but I hear some criticism that while it is beautiful there isn't a lot to do.

St. Maarten is highly developed, beautiful beaches but a lot of cruise ships stop there and the winter/spring there are a crap ton of ships that pull into port.

St. Lucia is probably one of the more diverse islands on the list.  Volcanic island with a lot of mountains and rain forest and a lot of good activities (hiking, whale watching, kayaking, zip lining, etc.).  Because of the volcanic nature of the island there aren't as many beautiful beaches, but the resorts are usually pretty good.

Another helpful tip is to google "shore excurions in Antigua" and repeat for all of the islands.  That will give you a good overview of the activities that are available on each island, that may help you narrow it down based on the activities you are most interested in.

From there you can start looking at specific resorts and cost.  To try to start that process without narrowing it down even a little bit can be overwhelming.  Trip Advisor is also great for resort reviews.
