    Pay for your own damn wedding. I can't get on Facebook at work, but I'll gladly vote for anyone besides you when I get home. My husband and I paid for our own wedding and you need to suck it up and do the same. You've made the adult decision to get married -- now make the adult decision to do it without begging for money from strangers.

    FBIL and FSIL are both nurses. They worked a lot of night shifts to pay off loans/get loan forgiveness, before getting engaged. They are now doing the responsible thing and planning something they can afford. FSIL and I regularly talk about what I've done to save money for my wedding, and I'm giving her coupons that I've received but have no need for (ie, vistaprint). I suggest you follow their example.
