Does this happen to you?

I'm a little under 4 months to go until the big day. I have lots of stuff accomplished, but I keep going over the wedding checklist thousands of times thinking I'm forgetting to do something. It's driving me crazy! Does anyone else have the same issue?

  • HA! Yes. I have 6 months to go with basically everything done, minus ordering cake topper, booking the night of hotel and my hair salon (happening this week). I still feel  like there is so much more I should be doing...but I can't think of any. I can't really touch invites again until a week or so before I mail them out to put on the bows and to address envelopes. sooo I twiddle my thumbs lol

  • Well we JUST started planning so I'm reading checks lists billions of times, but mainly just because I'm excited for all the options. Ask me again in a few months. ;)

I just now started to be all 'list checky.' We are getting closer to our date now and I have a number of big things I need to get done. I have been on Wedding Planning hiatus over the holidays so time to catch up.

In addition: My mom does a pretty good job of reminding me where I need to be and what to get done. She is pretty excited and really organized so she's my verbal check lister. I'm a lucky girl to have her.
  • I am not getting check listy yet, however I did have a nightmare last night that it was two weeks before the wedding and we NEVER sent out invitations. ...this is the SECOND time I have had that dream.

  • I had a running checklist on my phone so I could look at it when I has some down-time to figure out how to attack what I had to do next. But there were periods that I'd have absolutely nothing to do and it would drive me crazy after a day or two and I would double check every list I could find to see if I was forgetting something. I don't miss that feeling at all.

Yeah, I'm thinking that's my problem right now. We're doing our cake tasting on Saturday, and FI is doing tux measurements the week after, but other than that we don't have much going on! I keep looking for things to do but there just isn't much.

  • Honestly, I think the Knot's checklist is so helpful! It's grouped by months, so I've looked ahead. But, I leave tasks for that time period.  Over the holidays FI and I did our ceremony selections and picked out our music and arranged the timeline. I also addressed as many Save the Dates as I could (still missing some addresses from his side). Since I had my haircut this weekend, I asked my stylist about style pricing and when I should make an appointment for the bridal party.
I don't feel rushed or stressed (yet).  Just sticking to the plan!
