I know some of the NEY posters have some big plans this weekend...  so let's hear all about it!

Swazzle

As most of you know, I AM SO RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED for this weekend! I'm leaving work early today and taking the train down to DC to meet up with some fellow NEYers. 

Tonight, I'm having dinner with @beanbot2002, @cu97tiger, @tuarceatha, @suzie211 and her sister and a sleepover at my hotel with Beanbot and Tiger. 

Tomorrow, we're taking a tour of the White House and hanging out with Barack, Joe, and Hillary. Then we're meeting up with @Amapola14 for brunch and I'm not sure what the plan is for after that. I am hoping that @CASK85 can either meet us for dinner or for brunch! 

On Sunday, I'm going to a museum with @beanbot2002 and Bean (this will be the highlight of my weekend, sorry not sorry, ladies). Then we're going to @tuarceatha's house for a pizza party! I will also get to meet Mr. Beanbot, Mr. Tiger, and Mr. Tuarceatha. 

I take the train home on Monday morning and I will probably cry. 

Of all the people I'll be with this weekend, I've only met @beanbot2002 IRL so I'm happy to finally meet the rest of the DC area gang!

Yay Friday! My plans aren't nearly as big as everyone else's, but my parents, brother, and I are going to a college hockey game tomorrow night. Then on Sunday we're helping my brother's GF move into a dorm. From what I can tell, she can't take her roommate at her apartment anymore, and knowing how laid-back this girl is, it must really be bad.

My plans aren't as big as some other NEY ladies but I do have a few things going on that are WR.

Today FI and I plan to just stay in and relax. We've had a busy week and I think we just need a do nothing evening. We had originally planned to go see some friends tonight who are leaving tomorrow to visit China for a month but I have some sort of sinus infection going on and I don't want to make them sick before their big trip.

Tomorrow, we're meeting with a potential officiant. I've heard really wonderful things about him so I hope we mesh well. I don't just want to get this checked off my list, it's really important that we find someone who can do more than just a generic "I don't really know much about this couple but here you go, they're married" sort of ceremony. Afterwards, I'm meeting with two of my BM's to do a little dress shopping. We're getting lunch first at our favorite French cafe and then going to my appointment at 3. This salon carries the Allure line which is what @southernpeach89 wore for her wedding. I really like some of their styles...although obviously I won't be looking at hers!

Sunday is hopefully another relaxation day. I'd like to take the dog on a long walk and hopefully finish up cleaning around the house. I got a bunch done earlier this week but I still need to mop and clean our master bathroom.

I was suppossed to be going to DC with @swazzle and meet up with all the DC NEYers for a weekend of fun, but my PTO didn't get approved by my manager. I'm so sad, I'm literally going to mope around the house all weekend.

Tonight I'm going to clean because I'll be sad!

Tomorrow AM I'm FINALLY going to drop of my e-ring for an appraisal. After that we're dropping off our deposit for the DJ, then head over to Hobby Lobby to buy something for our centerpieces. Oh and grocery shopping....what fun!

Saturday night, FI's friends are coming over to play CAH. I'm going to make @swazzle's guac and probably some chips and dip. And wine.

Sunday I'll probably go to the gym, do laundry and mope around.

well, @Swazzle, you've got a really exciting weekend ahead of you!

I don't have nearly that much planned this weekend...  today I have H's car.  he gets off at noon, and then he and my dad are going to do some repairs on my car.  so I'll probably run to the grocery store(s) right after work while they are still messing with my car.  we have a long workout tonight (Insanity Pure Cardio + Abs workout, ouch!) and just planning on eating some leftover carnitas.  we started watching Narnia last night, but bailed out because we were EXHAUSTED, so I want to finish that.  and I have some freezer cooking planned for tonight, too.  I am making meatballs and chicken strips to flash freeze and have on hand.

Saturday we're going for brunch at a local Guatemalan place (YUM!) and then I have a pastry making class that afternoon.  starting in February, we're going to have our Spanish speaking services on Sunday morning concurrent with our English speaking services, but for the rest of this month we still have them on Saturday night.  so we'll be busy with that in the evening.  I can't tell you how excited I am that we're moving the services to Sunday.  H and I haven't had a Saturday night off (except for if it was a holiday or a family event we had to go to) in YEARS.  what do people DO on Saturday nights??  can't wait to find out!

@buddysmom80 - I have some cleaning to do too.  and I need to put away Christmas decorations.  I haven't got around to it yet.  *sigh*

@cocobellaf we took down decorations the other weekend, but forgot TWO so technically I could do that too, FI is taking down the outside Christmas lights too, we're the only people on our street that have their lights up, and I don't care.

we have to take ours down outside, too!  plus, when we had the ice storm a couple weeks ago it snapped my little redbud in half.  it had lights on it and just couldn't handle an inch of ice.  so we need to dig that poor little tree up and get a new one.  I was so sad because I planted that sucker myself this spring... and it was NOT a small sapling.

This weekend is pretty low key for us. Tonight H and I are doing something rather bold and we are doing a Body Fat test at CrossFit. That's the one were you jump in a tank of water and they weigh you based on your accurate bodily weight. It also measures your muscle to fat ratio I believe too. I'm interested to see what it says because weighing myself on a scale is iffy I think.

 

Tomorrow I had plans to get lunch with a girlfriend that I haven't seen since the wedding but she canceled so now Saturday will be a day of cleaning and grocery shopping...so much fun! Maybe H and I will go see a movie.

 

Sunday is church and it's going to be a bittersweet day because it's our last Sunday there. H and I are looking to move to a church closer to us. This one I've been going to for almost 4 years and it's about an hour and a half away from us so it has become a hassle to get there on Sunday mornings. So we have found  one closer to us that we are going to try out next week. We are probably have lunch with his mom and stepdad afterwards and then just relaxing.

I'm so stinking excited to see my frieeeeeeeeeeends!!!!

I would also like to make it publicly known, that I shaved my legs (just the lower half...but still) for the very first time since the first week of August. I did so, so that said friends don't have to witness the horror when my pant leg inevitably rides up during our sleep over. Do you hear that @swazzle and @cu97tiger?? I SHAVED MY LEGS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 5 MONTHS FOR YOU! You better love me. I was out of breath half way through the first leg. They were like Robin Williams hairy...if not more so.

My weekend is busy much busier than I want it to be given how tired I've been this week.  After work I plan to run some errands do some grocery shopping and then some house cleaning.  Probably do tacos for dinner it has been too long since we had taco night. 

Tomorrow I have rehearsal from 10:30-2:30, then we are going to finish our registry stuff at Sur La Table and go look at tuxes for FI.  Probably go out to dinner after that too.  Sunday I have rehearsal in the afternoon and then I can stay in the rest of the day and relax with FI.

I wish I was joining my favorite ladies in DC, but, alas, I have to work. Tonight is women's hockey (we're playing my alma mater!) at 7 pm, and we also have basketball going on too. Tomorrow is more basketball & hockey, but luckily it's earlier, so I won't be here super late.

Sunday, BF & I are doing meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal prep for the week. I signed up for WW again, and he is really supportive and is committed to eating healthy with me, so that definitely helps. 

Maybe at some point, @buddysmom80 & I can FaceTime so we can commiserate about not being in DC.

Wow - sounds like a fun weekend for a lot of NEY members!! 

Here's my exciting weekend:

Friday/tonight - HOPEFULLY get an appointment @ David's Bridal for tonight and go and check out a few dresses, maybe buy the one on clearance that I like (I still will have PLENTY of room in my budget to keep looking and sell it if I find something I like better, but so far this is the only one I've really liked so it might be 'the one', I'm just afraid it'll sell and then I won't find anything I like as much).  I'm probably breaking about 10 bridal gown purchasing rules with getting the dress if I do.

Saturday - Loki has a vet appointment.  I want to also get my garage cleaned out.  I have a 2 car garage but have kind of let the other side go and I want FI to be able to park his car in there instead of constantly having to switch out cars.

Sunday - ??  No idea.  I know FI's sister was planning on going to their parents house and said 'why don't you guys join if you don't have anything going on', so we might do that.  Who knows!

I'm excited about this weekend. Tonight FI and I might go bowling with one of my old coworkers and her BF. I'm not thrilled about the bowling, and would prefer we just go to a bar, but everyone else is excited about it so I'll just go along with the plan.

Tomorrow I'd like to get to the gym to work out and weigh myself (since I've been SO good this week). We also wanted to get the pup to a dog park, but I don't know if that's going to happen with this weather. Tomorrow evening, FI is supposed to be going up to a friend's house for a poker game. I'm actually hoping he spends the night there because it's over an hour away and I don't want to have to worry about him driving home late and alone. I'm trying to get a friend of mine to come up here to hang out with me and drink wine, but if she doesn't I'll probably just be watching all the TLC and Bravo and HGTV I can cram in while FI is gone!

Sunday my ex-roommate is supposed to come up for brunch. I have no idea what to make, though I may attempt eggs benedict. We'll see.

IT'S BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!!! Going to a hockey game on Sunday (FIGHT DAMNIT FIGHT) and I'm not even sure what other shenanigans we're going to get up to. I know I want to make a new favorite drink that my friend suggested that's raspberry Sourpuss, banana liqueur and Sprite. It sounds delicious.

I have a horrible headache today and just want to stay in bed forever, unfortunately I have to work tonight.

I don't have much planned besides working 3-11 everyday. It's my birthday on Monday so I might bake myself cake pops on Sunday and do some meal prep for the week.

MOTULENO $6.99

Two corn totillas filled with black beans, topped with two eggs cooked to order, ranchero sauce, dry cheese, avocado slices and parsley, surrounded with corn tortilla chips.

HUEVOS RANCHEROS $7.99

Bed of whole black beans, topped with two fried hand made corn tortillas, three sunny-side-up eggs, ranchero sauce, drizzled with sour cream, pico de gallo and avocado slices.

MIGALLAS $7.99

Scrambled eggs mixed with tortilla chips, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, jalapeno, served with refried black beans, fresh fruit topped with our passion fruit and raspberry sauce.

and we'll probably order a mango smoothie.  the migallas sound SO GOOD right now!

@Swazzle Thanks! My experience in the past when I went with friends who were engaged was that the salon wouldn't let us take pictures unless we were actually buying the dress. I know this because my BFF and I found one that made both of us cry and we wanted to show her mom and the salon wouldn't allow us to take a photo unless we were planning to buy that day (which we weren't). If I find one I love we'll ask for sure though!

@lmhollister - Most of the shops I went to were ok with pictures but at the ones that weren't, my mom and MOH would snap a couple quick pics when their backs were turned. We're such rebels.
