Black Hills Area

Hi all!

My fiance's from the Black Hills area, and we're getting married out on the east coast (where I'm from), but will be back in SD for a week or so for an open house for his family/friends. 

His mom's been incredible in helping me nail down details there, but wondering if any of you have any recommendations for a place to stay or things to do for that week.

    You GOTTA go to Deadwood!  There's a restaraunt there that Kevin Costner owns-GREAT food! Believe it's Midnight Lily but I could be wrong.  Also do an old tyme photo...those are great fun!

    The restaurant is Diamond Lil's and it's located in the Midnight Star. I used to work there.
    The Lodge at Deadwood is new- it's across from Tatanka on the highway to Spearfish and it has a restaurant called Deadwood Grille that is delicious.

    I definitely recommend the Deadwood Lodge. Gorgeous hotel rooms, nice hot tub, nice casino, a great food! You will also have a take a drive down Needles Highway and stop at Sylvan Lake.
