Am I the only one..(Photography related)

Everyone keeps telling me I need to splurge on photography because it's the only memories I will have. I'm honestly not a huge fan of staged/posed photos I come off looking uncomfortable and awkward and personally find them cheesy. Of course I want photos and memories for my wedding  but I'm finding it hard to spend 3k plus for photos when I feel like people will snap great photos on their phones.

Re: Am I the only one..(Photography related)

  • I am in the 'splurge on photography' camp. I do not want to rely on friends and family to capture one of the most special days of our lives. Phones also do not have the best quality cameras, though the past few years have drastically improved. I also don't want people jumping all over the place trying to capture the more significant moments.

Also, some photographers are better at capturing journalistic photos - not as awkward and formal. Look at portfolios to get an idea.

To me, its worth the money to pay someone to give me edited, high res photos, and an album that is going to last through the years.

Obviously not everyone feels the same...I'm just giving my opinions for spending money on a photographer. There are tons out there. If you do a little research, I'm sure you can find some you like and in your price range.

    Good luck!
