Anyone else here? 

I'm bored before work and I don't want to do the last two problems of my homework or watch BF play Call of Duty: Ghosts.  They're word problems and I have to write out the problems and then solve them.  I hate word problems and I hate writing them out even more.  I'm still sick with the flu and it's gotten worse.  I thought I was getting better for a couple days, but now I'm all icky all over again.  At least my coughs are more productive today.  I get to do more homework when I get home at midnight tonight and then more tomorrow when I wake up. It never ends, but it will be worth it.

Yuck! I'm so sorry to hear you got the flu, @shiroyasha. I had that last week, and it's still working its way out of my system.

I'm around for a few more minutes - I have college hockey tickets tonight with my parents, brother, BF, my bro's GF, and I think my aunt and uncle? It'll be a lot of fun. Otherwise I need to be knitting a hat for my mom's friend and some decorative scarves for my mom.

@KeptinStitches That sounds like fun! I haven't been to a hockey game (college or pro), but I hear they're really a blast. My cousin is a hockey player in the USPHL, and he's playing in my state, so hopefully I'll have a chance to see him play soon.

I was supposed to get up early for a hair cut appointment, but I had awful insomnia last night, and I woke up 15 minutes before my appointment started. Whoooops. I feel awful about canceling last minute, but in the 3 years I've been seeing my stylist, this is the ONLY time I've had to cancel at all. I'll tip double next time.

We've spent most of the day just hanging out, relaxing, watching TV. Tomorrow, I've got brunch with a friend, then I'm cleaning the apartment, and another friend is coming over for dinner.

We were supposed to do wedding planning today ... guess that'll happen tomorrow or next weekend.

This morning I was quite delighted to lay in bed and listen to the rain outside my window...until I realized that the rain was actually inside my window. There was a big ass leak and a giant puddle in my floor, and I discovered that part of the wooden window frame is rotting. Yuck. So anyway I went to Home Depot for supplies and caulked up the leak (like my daddy taught me) - and it stopped raining. All good for now.

After that the rest of my day was pretty good. Got a haircut plus a lovely blow out, did some shopping and picked up takeout with BF. I'm still struggling to come up with a birthday gift for him.

Anyone here tonight? Watching the broncos game and just chilling for the rest of the evening. My class officially starts tomorrow so the questions from the students should be coming in shortly. I apparently am cross stitching four stockings before Christmas this year lol. This should be interesting.

My friend is supposed to come over for dinner but I am SO TIRED that I'm trying to reschedule (she's in a class until right now so hopefully she got my text). I could not sleep last night and then had to get up early for brunch.

YAY she just texted me and we're on for next week instead. Phew.

At brunch, my friend and I were talking and it turns out that she's restarting Couch to 5K tomorrow, too. Running buddy!!

Hiiiiiii everyone. Hope your Sunday nights are all going fabulously. I just finished probably the easiest paper I have ever written in the history of my life. I'm actually wondering if I should start over with a new topic just so I can challenge myself a little more. Heh. Probably gonna go relax with a book for a little while and then go to sleep. We're starting work with a new dog trainer tomorrow, so I want to be all conscious and stuff for that, lol.

So, I have a question: how did you create your screenname? I'm kind of interested in changing mine since it's inspired by the nickname my ex called me by, but I don't know what to call myself instead.

@Amapola14: I am a journalist, and 'His Girl Friday' is a classic movie starring Cary Grant and Roslindale Russell (my avatar is of her, in this movie), about a female journalist. One of my favourite movies of all time. Also one of the reasons I wanted to be a journalist. 13 is my favourite number.

Like I said on Chit Chat, I'm a yarncrafter and I like to think I have a sense of humor.

My handle since I started using the internet regularly was Sapphira, and people used to shorten it to different nicknames. After a while, when I'd sign up for stuff, "Sapphira" was taken, so I started using one of the nicknames, Phira (pronounced FEAR-uh), as my main handle.

Honestly, I LOVE it because it's really short, so it works very well on Twitter. Whenever there's a 6-character minimum for a username, I die a little inside.

Mine is a combination of nicknames. My name is Laura, and two of my friends that I used to see at every concert I went to were Brazilian boys who insisted on calling me Laurita. It stuck, and all the friends I only saw at shows started calling me that. Laurita was already taken so I added lala, although I never really liked being called that.

My screen name is a nickname of a favorite anime character of mine.  I guess I just wanted something I knew wouldn't be taken.
