I need opinions on color coordination, this is far from a strong suit of mine. My wedding theme is enchanted forest, with lots of wood slabs and moss, and some purple thrown in. My girls will be in purple (plum), and I was planning on having them get gold sparkly shoes and yellow tone accessories. My dress is a darker ivory and I was planning on wearing yellow accessories as well. This past weekend my fiance and I went to figure out groomsmen attire, I was thinking a dark khaki or brown suit. Mens wearhouse doesn't have a dark khaki for rent, and the regular khaki looked far too beachy for me. And the brown one was not very attractive and from pictures looks a bit baggy. My fiance likes the grey suits they have, and I want him to be comfortable but I am worried I will have to change everything to make it work. I can' put the girls in yellow shoes and accessories if they guys are grey and black. I can easily put them in silver and make my accessories silver (the belt on my dress has silver and gold in it so it doesn't matter which way I go), but I am worried if the bridal party is in cooler tones (grey/black) it won't match with the warmer tones of the wedding. I just don't want it to look like my bridal party belongs at a different wedding. Am I being too crazy trying to pull my theme throughout? I know the bridal party will look fine and the pictures will match, but once we get into the reception it will look completely different then the wedding party. We are going to another suit rental store this week, but I don't have high hopes the selection of suits for rent seems to be small. I don't want to have the guys buy their suits either, too much added stress to get a bunch of guys to do all that.
For reference my wedding is in the morning (11 am) this spring.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
