Honeymoon Help?

Well here I am trying to figure out what we are going to do for a honeymoon and I am stuck.

I had the idea of going on a cruise mainly cause of the expense. I feel like it would be a better option for us since we don't want to spend a ton of money on a honeymoon. But I've had people tell me to fly somewhere and do an all inclusive. Looking at that and everything is really expensive!

Anyone have an tips or ideas?

PS. We are in CT so flying/porting out of CT/NY/NJ

Re: Honeymoon Help?

  • If you're wanting a cruise, sometimes tying 2 short cruises together back to back can give you a longer trip with different destinations for cheaper.  You'd stay on the ship during disembarkment/embarkment day and keep your cabin.  We looked at a 3 day west carrib. then 4 day east carrib. cruisers per Christmas and it was cheap due to a sale they were having.  Don't forget that most ships don't include drinks in the cost so it's cash bar all the way

If you want an AI, try the last minute vacation sites, if you're flexible with dates and locations.  I've heard of some very good deals that way, but you'd have to start searching and see what you find.

  • We did a cruise on Royal Caribbean for our honeymoon. We flew to San Juan, PR and did 7 days in the southern Caribbean. We loved it to much we're going to the Western Caribbean in November again. I don't know when you're wanting to honeymoon, but here are RCCL's cruises from NJ...a few seven night cruises are under $600/person! Not bad! http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/search/linkSearchResult.do?cruiseTourOnly=false&location=BYE
