Destination wedding SAVE THE DATE

Hi all! we are getting married in Hawaii this sept 2014.
It will be a very small wedding, less than 40 guest. I really want to do a unique save the date. and also wedding announcements for all of our other friends and people who wont be able to make it to Hawaii. Do you have any suggestions? or a good website for it? i really dont wanna do just plain card or a magnet, I have seen some really cute and fun save the dates, but i cant find anywhere where i can order it. Please share what you did for your save the dates.
Or any suggestion is welcomed (:

Hi and welcome,

My hubby and I did video save the dates. It was basically a slideshow of pictures from our relationship. We burned it onto a dvd and mailed it to all of our potential guests.

I've heard of some couples sending out luggage tags or may be even maps with information about the wedding as the save the date. So you can something like that too. Or if you want to get really creative you can a message in a bottle with a just a bit of sand. However, that might get a big expensive to mail to everyone.

I love the passport idea too! You can add photos of yourselves, information about the destination, etc. and add as many pages as you want or keep it simple as a card. 

@TerriHugg I love the video idea! I am trying to brainstorm ways to do my Save the Date that won't cost a fortune/I don't have to mail.. my initial list has over 300 guests and so the mailing cost will be pretty significant... I'm hoping to do an email Save the Date and then send out boarding pass invites in the mail later on!

You can definitely email the video save the dates. We emailed the video some people too. And then some people specifically asked for the dvd and we sent it to them.
