Can we just have a maid of honor?

My fiancé and I are planning a small wedding. He doesn't want a best man because he can't choose between his friends. I know that my sister wants to be my maid of honor but I think it might seem weird to have only one person standing up in the wedding. Are there any ideas for other ways she could be involved in the ceremony/reception?

    It's totally fine to have your sister as your attendant and not have anyone stand up for your FI.

    If you would only ask her because she wants to be asked, don't ask her.  She can do a reading during the ceremony or she can just be a guest.  I would probably buy her a corsage or something and put her in the front row.
