Now that I have purchased by dress I am on the hunt for the veil!  Although I was willing to spend a bit more for the perfect dress, I am hesitant to spend more than $300 for a veil.  My dress is fairly intricate so I am looking for a really simple veil that would only be worn during the ceremony.  I have gone and measured my dress, so I know how long I would need for the Cathedral Length Veil.  Does anyone have any advice on where to either have a Veil made or where to purchase a pre-owned veil?

If you're ready for an undertaking and are crafty, my sister made her veil- so I know that there are patterns online and stores that specialize in nicer fabrics for veils.  Otherwise, check Amazon; my friend got a veil on there for not much at all and it look beautiful for the ceremony.

try etsy! there are a lot of sellers on there and prices are much more reasonable then bridal shops.

Also, check the classified board here. Brides sell a lot of new and barely used stuff there.

valuveil.com  It's great if you want something plain, my veil was under $10. Their website is a little primitive looking but my veil arrived on time and you couldn't tell I didn't spend a ton on it.

Also don't forget about DIYing. Veils can be incredibly overpriced and they really don't cost much to make. Making a basic one requires virtually no sewing skill.
