Rehearsal DInner Suggestions in Seattle, Washington

My fiance and I are looking for a restaurant to host our rehearsal dinner on July 25th this year. We are from San Diego, so we are having a destination wedding and we will have a larger group for the rehearsal dinner to include any out of town family members (around 30-35 people). I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations regarding potential venues. We are trying to stay on a relatively tight budget so any affordable options would be great. Thank you in advance!

  • Hi Michelle!

Congrats on your engagement! Seattle is such a great, beautiful city for weddings, contrary to popular belief. And, it's much more affordable than San Diego!

I would love to offer a few recommendations!
Would you prefer to rent a venue and have a catered dinner? Or were you planning on reserving an actual restaurant where everyone purchases their own meal? Either option can be done right and done well, even on a tight budget!

If you would like to host a rehearsal dinner at a venue and have it catered, perhaps buffet style, I would highly recommend Lowercase Brewing in South Seattle. It's a brand new brewery with a very rustic-industrial vibe, and a lovely patio area (perfect for a July in Seattle). Also, they have tents available and free parking (rare). I'm fairly close with the owners so I could chat with them about setting this up for you, if you choose this route.

If you would rather host a rehearsal dinner at an actual restaurant by reserving a private area and have attendees purchase their own meals (or you could, if you choose), here are a few great places to check out:

    - Canlis - A bit on the pricey side, but has one of the best views in Seattle.

    - Alibi Room (2 locations) - This place is fantastic for both food and dancing. Quintessential Seattle location in the alley of Pike Place Market.  http://seattlealibi.com/#!/private-dining/

    - Ivars Salmon House - (about $20 - $25 average per person)

If you're wanting somewhere a bit more low-key/casual, let me know! I'd be happy to share more potential locations.
