Rustic Wedding Tableware

Hi!! My wedding is Sunday, May 25. Because we live out in the country our reception is a picnic-rustic-barbeque theme. It will be rather small (65 people) and laid back. It's outdoors but will be held under a pavilion. Does anyone have any advice one what kind of tableware is good to have for a rustic reception? My mother was thinking of renting china but wasn't sure if that would dress it up too much...but at the same time I don't really want to do plastic-ware! Any suggestions fellow rustic brides??? Thanks!

I am not a fellow rustic bride, but I love the idea of mismatched flea market china for a rustic wedding.  You could always rent china too, and try to find a more vintage-looking pattern.  Or see here-- lots of picnic weddings on Pinterest have plain white plates.  http://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=picnic wedding table setting  I'm not a huge fan on going overboard with Pinterest, but you can't go wrong with plain white.

We had a backyard wedding and used heavy-duty paper plates and plasticware. It helped keep things casual and was super easy to clean up. Plus, it was cheap!

I'll second the idea for an eclectic mixture of China from flea markets and thrift stores if you don't want to go the plastic route. You can find some really unique pieces and may even want to keep a few!

Ou wedding is rustic but we are going with disposables because of the cost and our gigantic guest list.

Mason jars, burlap, lace, tea lights.  Search on Pinterest! :-) We're thinking of getting the Chinette plates, they look nicer than plain old paper or Styrofoam plates lol

If you don't like the look of white or clear plastic, check out smartyhadaparty.com

They have plastic silverware that actually looks like its metal. It might be cheaper than renting china.
