Save the Date Cards

What is the proper time frame to send out Save the Date cards before the wedding?  This is the 2 marriage for me and the 3rd for my fiance'.  I have decided on Save the Date cards, since this is not going to be a very large formal wedding.  It is going to be very small and intimate, but want all our family and friends in the United States and overseas to know we are getting married and when.

Re: Save the Date Cards

  • STDs are usually sent around 6-9 months before the wedding.

Why are you telling them to save the date if they won't be invited to the wedding?  You can send out announcements after you get married.

  • I figured most of our family and friends want to know that we are getting married and when, but don't want the expense of traveling to a wedding in a different state.  That is why I thought about the Save the Date instead of invitations.
  • You don't send Save the Dates to people you aren't inviting. What would they need to save the date for?
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14
