Bride/Groom: "I do" Officiant has us repeat after him: "I, ___, take you, ___, for my lawful wife/husband, to have and to hold from this day forward I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us partI promise to love and cherish you unconditionally all the days of my life." • Yup, that's pretty much the way we're doing it, so sounds right to me!

Only thing is, and this may be the ridiculous former 5th grade teacher in me, "I do" is not the appropriate answer to a question that begins "Will you love...etc".  I'm a stickler for grammar!  If you ask "Will you?" the grammatically correct answer would be "I will".  So I made sure my officiant changed it to "Do you promise to love, honor, cherish, etc." because then the answer would be "I do."  I know you weren't asking that AT ALL!  LOL - sorry - can't help myself!
