D- Going out somewhere with H. Haven't decided where yet. We may get sushi.

E- none today...too sore to work out.

  • UHG - I forgot to pack stuff too.  I have a granola bar in my desk, need to make my car payment at lunch so it'll either be stopping somewhere for soup (Panara or Zoup) or Jimmy Johns.  FI has poker tonight, so I might try to talk him into meeting me at like Applebee's or something for dinner (order off the 550 calorie or less menu).

I am down 2.5 lbs from where I was the last week or two, but still 3.5 lbs higher than what I was before I started Insanity.  is that confusing enough?  anyway, I had a minor meltdown this morning because my clothes feel tight.  I get that I gained some weight because my appetite shot up.  I cleaned up my diet the past week but I want to be back down NOWNOWNOWNOWNOW.  I don't want to feel like I have to suck in all the time.  :(

  • @LivLeighton - your stir-fry sounds wonderful!
  • @LivLeighton - I did. I rejoined earlier this week. I agree with Coco, your dinner sounds awesome!

  • I missed posting yesterday because I was a little down about my weight.  I finally weighed myself (@swazzle - your hesitiation in doing so but your gumption to do it anyway sort of motivated me).  I'm really, really not happy with myself and need to lose like 20lbs.  That is going to take forever.

Anyway, I'm back to tracking things on Excel every day (workouts, calories, non-scale goals, etc.) and offering myself a non-food reward for each little goal I get.  Any ideas for goals?  I've got manis/pedis, a facial and a massage as ideas so far.

    B: Egg whites and salsa

L: Either chicken salad with quinoa or black bean bowl with quinoa and salsa

    S: Apple

D: Amy's lean microwave meal, side of steamed veggies and wine

E: Either bootcamp at the gym for 45 minutes or 30 minutes jog on the treadmill this afternoon (if the latter, 30 minutes again on the treadmill tonight since bootcamp would be way more of a workout).

  • @minskat30 - have you seen any of the fun-looking treadmill interval workouts??  if I had access to a treadmill, I would try them out myself.
  • @CocoBellaF - No, I haven't.  I actually have a treadmill at home (it sits collecting dust, but not laundry, like the typical cliche).  Are they on Youtube? I can't really run (severe Asthma) but I can walk/jog from 4-4.5 mph and do heavy inclines.  I've also done interval training at the gym (like Bootcamp, Tabata (30 seconds on, 10 second rest)) so I could probably handle treadmill intervals

this is where I first saw them, LINK.

ETA:  the intervals will burn fat more efficiently and effectively than just doing 30 minutes on the treadmill.  :)
  • Thank you @CocoBellaF - I will check it out!
  • I need to start participating in this daily.

    B: 90 calorie granola bar

L: Tomato and avocado slices with a little fresh mozzarella cheese

D: Honey-lime chicken with roasted brussels sprouts

    S: Wine....

WO: 2 or 3 mile run after work, depending on how much I give a shit and how soon I want to get back to my wine

  • @CocoBellaF @minskat30 My friend and I did one of those treadmill WOs last week, I LOVED it. I really wish I had a treadmill at home because my gym is not all that close. I liked it a lot better than my usual elliptical-ing.
  • ETA: Just had lunch. My mom and I shared a grilled flounder sandwich with some sort of cilantro jalepeno dressing and I had a cup of the most amazing tomato bisque ever and then I shared a brownie with my mom and sister.

Total damage: 15 points. 1 over my daily goal.

@csousa1 and @CocoBellaF - I think I'll give it a try at home (not at the gym...I hate running (or attempting to run) in public).  I don't know if I can do over 5.5 mph though...even for a few minutes (my asthma usually kicks in at about 2 minutes of running even if I take my inhaler before).  Can't hurt to try it though.

Edited to add: @lmhollister - tomato bisque sounds awesome right now.

  • @minskat30 I could eat that stuff every single damn day during the winter.

  • B: SlimFast (235 cal)

L: tofurkey sandwich with a cup of potato soup (430 cal)

    D: no idea

    S: if I'm hungry, either pretzels (110) or a granola bar (100)

E: Yogalates. It was mostly yoga but still good and only $3 at my city gym.
