I am completely torn on this decision. I am having an early September wedding and am in the process of picking my colors. I can't decide which combo I like better between the two. The primary color would be plum or navy with just accents of the chartreuse. I am wondering what kind of tone plum sets vs. navy. What is your vote or thoughts?
Other details: ceremony is in a catholic basilica and reception held in a ballroom.
My dress is ivory lace
Re: Plum/Chartreuse or Navy/Chartreuse wedding colors??
I like the shades of green in the picture posted with the plum dresses. Plus Plum/Eggplant was one of my colors so I'm biased :-)
I do like how the navy looks, but when I see navy I immediately think nautical.
After 6 years and 2 boys, finally tying the knot on October 27th, 2013!
Plum: https://www.google.ca/search?q=plum+and+chartreuse&rlz=1C1TSCD_enCA501CA501&espv=210&es_sm=93&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=D5bdUoyaNomvrQHm6oFQ&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1366&bih=667#q=plum+and+chartreuse+wedding&tbm=isch&imgdii=_
But I still can't decide if one is "better" than the other. I think the plum and chartreuse looks nice and romantic. I think the navy and chartreuse looks more modern. I guess it depends on what sort of feel you are looking for.
I did plum. It was called "Sangria", but it was more of a plum color, but sometimes, looked really dark pink in certain lighting. I combined it with apple green, but we wanted bright colors.
Here are a couple of photos.
