Animated save-the-date???

Does anyone know of a good place to go to get an animated save-the-date made?  Like so: cute cartoon animation.  I have googled for hours and can't find anything quite like this.  They are are sort of cookie-cutter...

Like to put in an email?  I don't understand this, much like I'm not a big fan of video STDs. When I get on STD, I like it to be something I can stick on the fridge or on the bulletin board in our office so I have a visual reminder. If it's not there, I'm going to not see it and forget about it.

ETA: I use Paint Shop Pro and Animation Shop to do online graphic and animation stuff. You could always purchase something like that and make your own if you really want to do this.

What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

Same for me.  A video STD won't make me save-the-date.

Are you referring to a flip book save the dates? Those are cute, but a bit pricier to mail.  A local DJ/Photo Booth rental place in your area may have this equipment to create & replicate.

  • Hi there!

I work in the advertising world but I am also a traditional animator! I animated my own save-the-date and sent out DVD's to all my family and friends. Check it out here:

Right now I'm animating a second video to announce that I'm pregnant.

The bad news is, traditional animation is very time intensive. Typically this kind of animation requires a 12 drawings for every second of animation. It adds up quickly when you add multiple characters and color. I worked on my video in my spare time and it took 4-5 months to complete. Because it is so time intensive, animators have to charge a lot more to make it worth it.

If you are not looking to spend a lot of money on an animated short, you could go for a simple illustration, comic strip, or animated GIF. Hope this helps!
