  • I have bookclub tonight so I'm trying to be good and just have healthy snacks throughout the day rather than a main lunch meal. Breakfast didn't go as well as hoped. I had to take my dog to the vet because the knot from her internal stitches poked through her belly and it was starting to come out. The vet removed it for us and everything is fine.

B: Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte (2) and a spinach,egg-white, feta cheese wrap (7)

    S: Baby Carrots (0)

    S: Pineapple (0)

D: Bookclub at a German restaurant. Last time we went I had the rainbow trout and veggies so it should be ok points wise. But I also will probably have bread and a couple glasses of wine. I just wanted to be sure I had more than 10 points leftover so I could splurge a little at dinner.

  • @love2shop4shoes - not enough calories girl!  :)

try this equation if you aren't sure how many to eat:
655 + (4.35 x weight in lbs) + (4.7 x height in inches) - (4.7 x age in yrs) = basal metabolic rate aka BMR (calories to maintain your weight without exercise)

then, add in your activity level:
    BMR x ....
1.2 if sedentary (little to no exercise)
1.375 if lightly active (light exercise 1 to 3 days a week)
1.55 if moderately active (moderate exercise 3 to 5 days a week)
1.7 if very active (hard exercise 6 to 7 days a week)

    so for me:
    my BMR = 655 + (4.35 x 125) + (4.7 x 58.5) - (4.7 x 27.5) = 1344.45
1344.45 x 1.55 = 2083.8975 = 2084 calories to maintain my weight at my current level of exercise

to lose a pound a week, just detract 500 calories per day as long as you stay above your BMR (the original calculation.)

2084 - 500 = 1584 calories per day for me to lose about 1-2 lbs a week while doing Insanity.

  • @swazzle - Congrats!!!!

I failed yesterday completely (well, not completely...just after 2pm) but the rest of the weekend I did "ok" food-wise and got some great workouts in.

    Back on track today...

    B: Egg whites and tomatos

L: Black beans, onion, quinoa and a little cheese

D: Not sure...microwave meal or chicken salad?

S: Apple and baby bell.  Maybe one glass of wine

E: 45 minute cardio/strength interval class.  If I'm going to give into that glass of wine I'll also do a 30 minute walk tonight.

  • @allusive007 - That is awesome! Great job on your loss as well!
