Being specific on envelope and RSVP too much?

So FI and I are paying for everything ourselves and are on a budget. Because of this we have decided not to invite anyone under 18. I know that being specific on the envelope is suppose to signify to the receiver "this is who the invite is for", but having just watch his brother get married in September and hearing from his wife how many people brought the whole family instead of just the people on the envelope, I'm worried we will have a repeat of that scenario at our wedding. Instead of having a line on the RSVP, is it ok to repeat the same names from the envelope so it causes less confusion? (I want to avoid write in's because while my mom has offered to help with questions fielded by family, she's currently battling cancer, and I want her focus on healing and being healthy) What do I do if I still get write ins?
