Ice Cream Sundae Bar-- HELP!!!

Neither my fiancee nor I am big fans of cake and a big part of us dating surrounded ice cream. (No shame!!)
We would LOVE to have an ice cream sundae bar at our reception but are having a hard time finding someone in the Metro Detroit area in our budget! We will have about 250 guests at our venue in Chesterfield and would like to spend less than $1000 on the sundae bar. Our reception venue offers the service but we wanted something a little more special. We are getting married on 5/30/14 also so we wanted to book it soon!!

Maybe try Treat Dreams in Ferndale. Or contact places you went to while you were dating to add more significance. Good luck!

It isn't a sundae bar, but Eskimo Jacks in Southfied is AMAZING. They basically make huge ice cream sandwiches that are delcious. We had them for our employee appreciation week at work this past year and everyone loved them.

Try big top party rental. if they don't have it they will get it.

We used Holiday Market (Royal Oak) as our caterer, and they did a sundae bar for us. It was a "late night" treat, not the primary dessert, but you could reach out to them and see if they'd do it. I don't recall the per person price, but we had chocolate, vanilla & strawberry ice cream, plus raspberry sorbet, various toppings, and they supplied someone to serve. They used Ray's ice cream (Royal Oak) and it was awesome!!

If Holiday Market won't do just the sundae bar, ask your venue to obtain Ray's ice cream. It's fabulous and well known around here. The toppings would be standard, but the ice cream is fabulous! If your caterer or venue won't pick it up, offer to do so yourself and take to them.

Our bar had champagne, and I got the raspberry sorbet in my flute and added champagne.... it was marvelous!
