Dj help

Hi I'm really trying to save some money and we are having a casual wedding. I don't want to pay $800 for a Dj. Anyone have any alternative ideas or cheaper Dj recommendations.

    Ask friends and family members. I feel like someone down the line will know someone that knows a DJ. Be sure to ask for a sample mix to ensure what you want is compatible with what they provide. I went to a wedding where the DJ played nothing but 80's music, when the couple wanted hip-hop!

    My cousins made playlists and used their ipod and the venue's speakers. They had someone man it during the special songs and the ceremony, but then just let it run the rest of the time. 

    Just make sure you have enough songs for the time you need.
