The Bachelor wedding anyone??

Anyone watching The Bachelor wedding on ABC?? I don't follow the show but my mom said they were doing a wedding special so curiosity got the best of me and I'm tuning in...

Re: The Bachelor wedding anyone??

  • Nope. Nope. Nope.

I don't follow the show and have no interest in The Bachelor wedding.
  • I probably will.  I watch The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.  It's my guilty pleasure.  I laugh at it and how desperate all those girls/guys are that they have to go on a TV show and date someone with 20 other people at the same time.  I like watching the drama and seeing the crazy dates.
  • Probably not.  I used to watch it, but not in a while.  It just got stupid, and the 2 hours shows are too long to drag out for me

  • Not watching/don't give two fucks, but they are getting married in Santa Barbara (FI is from there and that's where we're getting married) at the Biltmore (where FI plays tennis when he's home--he's good friends with the tennis pro). We aren't getting married at the Biltmore, though. We're getting married in FSIL's backyard.
  • I watched the last 30 minutes of it. They had a "Honeymoon Suite Cam". Seriously? The ick factor could not be higher.
  • I watched it until 9pm and switched to Sister Wives... guilty pleasure I'm addicted to the bachelor. Sean's season was the first one I watched in a long time. I agree @ClimbingBrideNY it annoyed the crap out of me that they showed the honeymoon suite being prepped. A lot of it was based on the fact they haven't had sex yet. I think it's great they decided to wait, but at the same time... let's not broadcast it to the world. They had him shopping for lingerie and her doing lingerie photo shoot for him (I forget the name.. my bad) so it was like.... really???? I did enjoy the road trip they went on and also the dress shopping though, but I'm a closet Say yes to the dress fan.

  • I thankfully missed the lingerie shopping.
  • I hate that show. It is gross to me.

  • Yeah I don't especially enjoy the show or watch it regularly, but I liked watching the wedding planning. I get it, it's all from reality TV and funded by ABC but still fun to watch the planning process IMO. It didn't annoy me any more than some particular episodes of Four Weddings! ha

  • I don't watch the show, but I did hear the vows on the radio show I listen to in the morning and WOW GAG! They were awful. The bride stated "you give me heart sprinkles" and "you are like the light to my bug" WTF?!
  • Omg. Her vows were terrible. "I love you so much some times I think I'm going to explode."

I actually told FI to please not use the word explode in our vows.
  • I watched the 90-day Fiance, anyone watching that?  The Russian girl sure does want that citizenship.
  • I'm so glad I'm oblivious to that stuff. Besides, FI would have conked me in the head with another box if I turned it on!

  • @climbingbrideNY Didn't she also say she promised to love him AFTER her heart has exploded? as in.. after she dies? HAHA I agree, I would rather not hear the word explode in my vows.

@cokezerofreak I have watched a little bit of it. Very strange!!!

  • @tcnoble and @ prettybirdy27 Did you see last nights? AFTER she saw "her man" with other girls "flirting" she gave him something something.  She didn't come right out and say she finally slept with him but she wanted to please him.  She didn't even want to sleep with him, and she's going to marry him?

At least the cute Brazilian girl and her FI are getting chaperones since he's Mormon and they want to wait.
  • @prettybirdy27 I texted my FI half asleep last night with OMG now she's going to sleep with him.  He didn't care, lol.

I was bored yesterday and watched the second episode on demand.  Aya seems nice.  She seems genuine too from what I gathered but I'm scared of that ex-wife of his. Who is she to say they can't have kids?

Paola is expecting a higher standard of living than what he's willing/able to afford.  She's going to have to get a job real quick!
  • I wanted to watch it this morning and stupid hulu is not showing it until next week :( I am a fan of the bachelor--definitely a guilty pleasure show of mine, and I think Sean and Catherine are a cute couple.  So if I am bored sometime next week I'll watch it-- but I agree how creepy it is how everyone could not stop mentioning the honeymoon suite aka "consummation station."  and showing them shopping for lingerie, Gross!  My husband would be mortified.  The only time he ever bought me lingerie was after a few drinks, lol.   I would be horrified if someone, let alone the world, called my wedding suite the consummation station and kept asking me about having sex on my wedding night.  we get it, they saved themselves for marriage; good for them.  But I like to not think about people having sex thanks.

  • I will watch it.  I don't have a TV and stupid ABC changed stuff so you can't see it without a subscription until a week later.

The Bachelor/ette is my guilty pleasure.  I agree though.  I think the complete and total obsession with them saving themselves for marriage is way over the top.  Seriously, what's the big deal?  You didn't obsess over any other bachelor couple's lingerie shopping trips and honeymoon nights and I'm sure they were awesome even though they didn't wait until marriage.
