Where to find a beach wedding dress in Chicago??

Hello! I'm getting married in Cabo next year and I really want a simple, beach style dress. Where can I find one in Chicago or the surrounding suburbs??? Thanks!

    I am not in the Chicago area so I can't suggest a place, but when I was looking for a beach dress I called up the dress shops and told them what I was looking for and the price range and asked if they had anything like that. It saved me a lot of time going to shops full of expensive ball gowns.

    You can also look around online for designers that are making the kind of things that you want and then visit one of the listed shops. I would still call first since the shop probably does not have the entire collection.

    Depending on how simple you want to go, you can also consider looking at bridesmaid dresses. Many of them come in white or ivory. You can also ask for "extra length" so you can have your seamstress make a small sweep train if you like.

    Since destination weddings are so popular now pretty much every bridal store in Chicago and the burbs has a section, some have more some have less. I bought all 3 of my dresses at Shelley's Bridal in East Dundee. I got a great deal on the 2 beach dresses as they had a sample blowout sale in Nov.

    Hi,

    I just bought my wedding dress this past weekend and what I have gathered is alot of stores have different options of material along with style.  Let them know you are having a beach wedding and are looking for a lighter dress.  Depeding what style or dress you may be able to search stores that way (that's what I did).  Crystal Bride in Geneva had alot of good reviews, although I didnt make it that far as my appointment was in about another week and a half.  I bought my gown at Bri Couture in Naperville and the consultant brought down two dresses and the second was my dress.  Also, have pictures ready for the style you are looking for because that definitely helps them! Good luck :)
