A few months ago I anxiously posted about my SO's mother and was worried she didn't have much time left. Here's the update. SO's mother had no chance of living without a heart transplant and there was only a 5% chance they would find one to match her blood type. She went into a comma a couple of times, life-support for a month, her kidney's were failing and she had about 9 surgeries in the last 3 months. Crazy! But I guess it's true that prayer works because a miracle came through. She found a heart in two weeks and the transplant went really well! She's on the road to recovery and should be able to function normally soon.
I'm so glad I posted because I was loosing my mind and you ladies helped me not jump the gun. I didn't say anything to SO because I was able to be there for him without thinking about the future or about our relationship. Most importantly, SO is not going to loose the only person he has left and he was able to focus on her through that terrible time. Things turned out to be ok, and I have stepped off the crazy bus.
