Wedding Bands

Has anyone out there used Bobby J and Stuff Like That as their wedding band? We were supposed to have Bucktown Allstars but they double booked us, and now we're on the search for a good band with some new orleans flare. Suggestions welcome!

I haven't heard that band, but I do like mojeaux, louisiana spice, and groovy 7. How long after you booked the allstars did they tell you they were overbooked?

We had a similar situation with louisiana spice but they were super helpful and got The Wise Guys to agree to play at our wedding because they were so sorry about the double booking. I would ask the Bucktown All Stars to help you out! It is their error so they should at least try to help you find a band that is similar to them!

So sorry to hear! Some groups that come to mind are Mojeaux, Groovy 7, Wise Guys, and the Top Cats. You also might want to check out a local singer named Naydja Cojoe. I saw her at Jazz Fest last year and she was awesome, and she actually has a website: http://www.naydjacojoe.com. Good luck!!!
