Ack- Invitations going out late!

I made a tactical error when ordering my envelopes. Now they will be going out 2 1/2 mouths out from the wedding instead of the preferred 3 months out. I'm giving people until April 5 to RSVP. There's nothing really I can do about this now... I just hope I'm giving people enough time!

I am planning on sending my invites 3 months out, but everyone here says to send them out 2 months out, so I don't think you'll be late, really.

I thought they were supposed to go out 6-9 weeks before the wedding? That's what we've been planning on.

2.5 months is actually on the long side -- recommended is 6-8 weeks, which is 1.5 to 2 months, so you should be fine.

I think we sent ours out just a little over the 2 month mark, but we had lots of OOT guests we wanted to be able to have plenty of time to plan travel.  We also got married in our city at the height of our tourist season, hotel rooms and such can be hard to come by, so wanted everyone to have plenty of notice.

3 months is not the preferred timeline.  2 months should be the earliest to send out invitations.  So you're good!

Ok good, glad I'm stressing out over a non issue! My little wedding count down put the invitations at 3 months out.
