    I liked the "stars/constellation" athletes, but thought that went a bit long.  I also wasn't a fan of the 1/2km run out to light the torch, though I love the torch this year.  I just can't wait for the games to get started.  I told my boss I might call it in for the next 3 weeks.  He laughed and said my PE teaching partner would cover all of my classes.  I wish

    I have no idea why they didn't air this, but this is hilarious! I wouldn't be surprised if 90% of those guys don't even speak English and have no idea what they're singing, but they're getting into it!

    Was that the pre-ceremony choir??  I can't see your video (not in US), but CBC aired it up here during the "pre-game" show.  It was pretty cool

    It's a police choir, I think from the Internal Affairs Bureau or something? Not sure. It was in the pre-show stuff, from what I've read. It's pretty hilarious and awesome!

    Love Olympics! I love how the world just (kind of) puts aside its differences for two weeks to celebrate the best athletes of all (major) sports.

    That being said, did it strike anyone else as odd that there are so many concerns about homosexuality yet the ceremony featured a whole lotta Tchaikovsky...?

    Not to mention when the Russian team came out, the music was TATU, which is a Russian lesbian group. Or at least they pretended to be for a good while.

    Watching the Olympics makes me want to learn to snow board or ski but I know that will never happen because I hate snow and I'm klutzy so it would probably kill me
