Wedding Vows & Ceremony Discussions

ceremony length

I have no idea how long a cermony is supposed to be!  I've been to weddings but felt like i was being preached at during the ceremony so we definetly don't want to do that. I was thinking we could have the pastor give a few readings from the Bible about marriage, then we will say our own vows, exchange rings, sign the papers, kiss and leave. We aren't doing unity candles or or other rituals so I'm thinking this could easily be done in 10-15 mins. Is that too short considering we are having the reception elsewhere?

Which bring me to my next question: is 5 hours too long/short a reception that will not include alcohol and minimal dancing by guests?
