DJs-SCE Event Group & Gemini + lighting

Hi ladies - has anyone used either of these DJ companies? I am considering both of them, along with another which I already got a quote from and I'm not sure if their pricing ($3000-3500 depending on options) was normal or high.  What kind of quotes have you gotten from SCE or Gemini? Also...is anyone getting special lighting effects (those rotating lights that light up the dance floor or a monogram light?) I'm trying to decide if its worth it.  I kind of like it, but I know my mom isn't too crazy about dancefloor lights as she thinks its too "clubby."  Any advice is appreciated!!

    Hi!  I am using Posh Entertainment.  Their packages start at $1,800.  My total package is as follows:

    Live Pianist for cocktail hour $500
    4 hour DJ and MC for reception $1,850
    Custom Monogram for the dance floor $500
    Premium lighting Package $1,200

    I did not need uplighting for the room since it is included with my reception.  They are awesome and give you your own website for must plays, do not plays and play if time permits.  It also has a a section for you to list all the important stuff like bridal party, entrance songs, first dance ect. 

    I looked at 4 DJ's and they were by far the best.

    I'm also using Posh Entertainment. I have the same package mentioned above. I've been to a wedding where SCE was the dj company used and it was the most boring wedding I've ever been to. The MC was constantly yapping on the mic. And we sat at the table the entire night. To the point where when the bride and groom were announced everyone was in their seats. Can't say I've ever seen that at a wedding. I know lil cee from posh will have our guests dancing all night long. ETA: stupid autocorrect

    @FutureMrsN3312 I loved Posh from the minute I walked in the door.  I am using DJ Mikey B who is the owner with Lil Cee and they are both AMAZING!  When is your wedding?

    Thanks ladies! Posh was the DJ I had met with and I really liked Mikey B. We ended up going with them!! So excited! @FutureMrsN3312 lol, that SCE comment! FI and I were looking at some of their videos online and thought the same thing about the yapping. None of that please, thanks very much! @jennkurtz I'm glad to know you liked Posh best after meeting with 4. Where are you having your reception?

    @kris10_nj I am getting married at Primavera Regency in Stirling November 7, 2015. What about you?

    Mikey B is doing my wedding and I absolutely loved him. All the other DJ's I met with were really cheesy and were telling me what I should want my reception to be. With Mikey he said they will do whatever we want and I loved the website they give you. All 4 were around the same price so it was a no brainer for me.

    We are September 5, 2014 at the Valley Regency! Mikey B is doing ours as well. Liked him a lot, felt totally comfortable with him.
