I am ready to give up, as everyone if my family has an opinion :) I''m trying to find a venue for this July that has outdoor space. Either a place I can have a tent, or a place with indoor outdoor space. I tried most of the usual suspects, but Glidden House and Botanical Gardens are too expensive. Any ideas? THANK YOU!!!

Re: Please help! Venue needed

  • Have you checked out St. Clarence Church? I've heard really good things about the venue. From what I understand from a woman I work with (her son was married there last year), they have a pavilion area that worked really well for them. It may be worth checking out.
  • Are are a few suggestions, of course these may or may not work depending on how large your guest list & budget are & where in cleveland you may be looking for

-Landerhaven Executive Caterers. I know they can do outdoor ceremonies, not sure about reception though

-Debonne Vineyard in Madison, they have a nice side building which I believe that has windows that can be rolled up (they are plastic) or removed to give it more of an outdoor feeling while still having comfort of indoors

-German Central Farm in Parma http://www.germancentralfoundation.com/hall-rental.html. They have a gazebo outside and a nice hall that has a wrap around deck. They have a pavalion area too, that has picnic tables but it's large and where they typically hold their Oktoberfest activities twice a year.

-Whiskey Island, I was there the day a wedding and there was a huge tent & they brought in tables, dance floor, etc, and it overlooked the lake. Downside is that only bathrooms are port o potties. But it looked like it was beautiful & it was right next to the parking lot too so short walk for guests.

If you can post what area of town and how large your guest list is (approx) it may help with suggestions.  Good luck!!

  • Check out Buffalo Creek Retreat. The space & grounds are amazing, and very affordable.

  • The Barn at the Meadows in Orrville
  • I would look into Happy Days Lodge in Peninsula or Conrad Botzum Farmstead also in Peninsula.
