Platinum brides

We've finally decided on the Platinum for April 2015, but I've read a couple of reviews on here where people mention the wind. Has anyone married there, particularly on the Misora rooftop terrace and can advise on how much you can feel a breeze? How many people did you have? We're having about 40 guests. Anyone with experience of there in April? I'm going to book sometime in the next few days, did anyone negotiate on price and would you recommend doing so? What sort of things did you get put into your contract? What meal options did you choose? I can't wait to book it, I've been reading as much as I can and looking at loads of photos :) thanks for any replies!

Re: Platinum brides

  • Are you doing the all inclusive or going ala carte options? I am actually getting married there on April 6th, so I can give you more information from personal experience  on April dates after that. I do recall asking someone else and they said April was actually quite a lovely month to get married in because it is not too hot or cold and usually the winds aren't too terrible in the spring time (although with the way the weather has been these days...)

Congrats on being an April Platinum bride!

  • I think we're going to go for the A La Carte option, although we're going to email them tonight and get our current selections priced then decide for sure. What about you? Our wedding date is probably going to be April 8th, almost exactly a year after you! I'm practically exploding with excitement right now so I can't imagine how you must be feeling! Are you all organised? What are you doing for photographer and DJ? I've just found the website for The Flashdance and am now willing to sell a kidney to get them at my wedding! To be fair to the weather, I think we could probably cope with a breeze considering we're from Scotland but because I've read it mentioned in a couple of reviews I'm suddenly obsessed with it!
  • I am an all inclusive bride for them which has been really great because I way overanalyze everything so at least I didn't sit there debating vendors over and over. I did my own reviews of the vendors after our site visit before committing and they had great reviews, so that put my mind at ease. The photographer I have is Chiemi Photography, our DJ is All Night Long Entertainment.

Exploding with excitement, well yes that is one emotion that I am currently having as well as stressed about family drama, worried I wont fit in my dress properly, so happy to be able to see my best friends and family and just wish it were here already! LOL However, my OCD has kicked into high gear and I am super organized, including working on a seating chart, a favor label and music selection at work today (oops was I suppose to actually do work projects at work? haha)

I think you are going to love it and lots of international brides go that route with the same results. And totally, with being from Scotland, you will think some of the wind here aint nothing! :D

let me know if you have more questions or just want to chat about being awesome April Platinum brides!

  • Brilliant, thanks! I'm really excited we've settled on the platinum, we'd decided on it ages ago then my mum said it looked rubbish from outside and totally took the win out our sales so we went away and started again, looking at tons of other places. Then we realised that it was just my mum being my mum and wasn't something we should listen to and once a few of our friends said how amazing it looked when we showed them pictures then we were back on track :) I think all your stressed are completely natural, I keep telling myself I should start going to the gym but so far it's not happened! Totally with on the distractions from work thing, I'm nightshift this weekend so I'm guessing 90% of my work time will be spent reading reviews haha. Just emailed Jamie to get the ball rolling....exciting!
  • Booking the Platinum was the best decision we made! One night it was windy up on the Misora terrace when we were checking out the area but it was perfect for our wedding day. So nice to be outside and the view is wonderful. Can't beat it for a Vegas wedding. We were worried about the location of the Platinum (next to gas station and off strip) but it was really no big deal and out guests loved it. We did the stations menu for $80 pp and silver open bar. I'm so excited for you. Platinum brides please ask me questions! I would love to help.
  • Thanks Kellymac that's great to hear! Can I ask you about your timings? I asked Jamie what time she recommends for the ceremony so she said 7pm, which is sunset on our wedding day. I'm worried that's a bit late though, I want a few hours of dancing at least (especially if I spring for The Flashdance, if I spend that much on a DJ I want to be dancing all night!).
I'm not sure how long it will take for the ceremony then dinner, do you remember the timings for your day?
I think we're planning to end at about 11:30pm-midnight then get a double decker bus for a strip tour and more partying, so ideally we'd be done with dinner by about 8:30pm.
  • My wedding is at 7pm (sunset as well) and ends at 11:30. Based on the timeline Romie sent me, there is about 2 hours of open dancing after the ceremony, the photos, the grand entrance and dinner/toasts. But that is for the all inclusive. If you are just doing stations and open bar, then I am sure you will have more time for party dancing. I had questioned the time as well, but as Jamie explained if you go earlier, you risk having the sun right in your eyes or face as it is setting and blinding you (not a good look for pictures) so I trust her on that.
