Wedding Day Kit

I'm the MOH for my friend's wedding this Spring. I'm going to have an "emergency" bag with me that day. This is what I have on the list so far:

Tylenol
Needle & Thread
Band-aids
Safety Pin
Hairspray and Bobby Pins
Chalk (For smudges on wedding gown)
Breath mints
Kleenex

Any suggestions on what else I should bring along? There will be water and snacks provided at the church. TIA!

Re: Wedding Day Kit

  • I'll be using this as a basic guide for what I'll pack for day-of. I won't need all of the things listed, but it's a fairly helpful starting point.

  • The only other thing I've used is scissors (loose threads).  Oh! And floss for teeth!

  • Floss, little travel toothbrush, little travel toothpaste, Q-tips and make-up remover (in case of raccoon eyes or other make-up issues).

  • Chapstick and deodorant.

  • Gold bond powder
    2x sided sticky tape
    Nail clippers/scissors
    Small scissors

  • tide stick
  • I prepped a ridiculous emergency bag, but the only thing I used was the granola bar!
  • Straws. I would have NEVER thought of this, but i was in a wedding last year and the emergency bag that the MOH had with her included them...super helpful for drinking after your makeup has already been done so you don't lose your lipstick.

    Ooooooo yes!

  • Add a mini bottle of champagne or something cute :)
  • I used double stick tape when I realized my straps weren't so secure. That would be helpful
  • Definitely scissors. My sister's wedding dress still had the tags on the day of the wedding and you don't really want to be ripping a hole in you wedding dress pulling them off. :)
  • Nice! Thanks ladies!
  • I'm a 2 time bride and 4 time MOB. I think it is kinda silly to go all out on these things. Here is what we do:

(Keep in mind I was a Supply Sergeant in the Army and Logistics is in my blood) As a MOB, I have a sewing kit with a few safety pins and the correct colors of thread. We provide any meals our bridal party needs throughout the day, leading up to the wedding/reception. I have a Tide pen, a couple of Shout wipes, some hairspray, some bobby pins, and a can of Static Guard. I also have some of that 2 side tape you use on your clothes in case there are any alteration problems. We don't need to see any boobies making an entrance from a strapless dress

I figure each woman has a purse in the area and it has her chosen lip gloss, mints, nail file, and whatever else she needs.

With my first DD's wedding I made the whole "bridal emergency kit" and spent a small fortune. It was 98% wasted money.

Oh, I do have one addition for my last DD's wedding coming up in June: an industrial sized garbage bag. If it rains, we will cut holes for her feet and pull the bag up around her dress so she can get from point A to point B. since I have the bag, I figure it won't rain!

  • I put cough drops in the kit for a wedding I was apart of in September.  Those got snatched up quick!  We ended up, last minute, with an indoor wedding due to rain, and the whole party was standing in front of this beautiful fireplace, but it was dry and hot up there.

I also bought this product by bandaid that protects your feet from the rubbing spots on new shoes.  That was a lifesaver.

I also included a lint roller as well as some regular pins with the ball on the end (if you get what I'm saying) just in case not enough came with the flowers to pin on the guys.

Love the idea of the garbage bag! Brilliant!
