I started getting a terrible sore throat last night, slept terribly because I felt so awful, and woke up feeling worse.  Poor Fi, he says I was making weird sounds in my sleep all night!  Probably because I had guck in my throat.

There is zero part of me right now that wants to go to class right now.  But I have to because I have an important meeting right after class.  Gah!

ETA: My commute is going to be annoying because the main entrance to the WTC train station is shut down.  Apparently huge chunks of ice are falling off the skyscraper onto the sidewalk below.  Awesome!

  • I'm sorry to hear you're sick :( This has been a horrible winter also in terms of people getting sick. Every single person I know has gotten sick at least once, and I had a funny throat over the weekend. My office is like a petri dish of bacteria. Yikes, I read about the chunks of ice falling from the Tower. Fun....

    Here's some tea and honey!

  • Boo. Hope you feel better soon. In the meantime, this is my favorite home remedy...image

  • Thanks ladies! To make things even more fun, I just spent the entire time since my OP stuck on the subway because there are signal problems. And they were leaving the subway doors open, which means it was freezing cold for that entire 2+ hours. I just got to school, and that's only because I bailed out at 96th st and took a cab the rest of the way. Whyyyyyy? I really need that hot toddy.

  • @JC, I've found that if you can't get the lemon, cloves, and cinnamon, Lemon Lift tea will do in a pinch. Since you're in the frozen North and all :-)
