Affordable bridal accessories (shoes, veil, belts/sash, etc)

Ok - clearly the markup on anything labeled BRIDAL is astronomical. I saw a pair of shoes yesterday at a store that in Nordstroms sells for less than $200 and a bridal boutique was selling it for $375!!

Where should I look for ALL of my accessories so that 1. I can see it before I buy it, and 2. I don't get ripped off on EVERY aspect of our wedding day.

Thanks!

  • I got my shoes at dsw Found necklace/earrings/and bracelet that I liked at the bridal shop we're using. Found the same brand stuff on amazon for half the price. Veil I'm borrowing from my MOH. Belt I'm getting from the bridal store. Headband I found on etsy for 28 bucks. The one I loved at the store was $265. Couldn't justify spending that much.

I got my shoes at Nordstroms and my jewelry at Swarovski.  I have not even looked for a headband yet but think I am using my sister in laws as my something borrowed.

I did not go cheap on my shoes...I saw a pair of Jimmy Choos that were the exact heel height I wanted so I splurged on those ($475) but the jewelry from swarovski was very reasonable.  I got a necklace, earrings and bracelet for under $200.
  • I got my shoes at Zappos... you clearly can't see them first but free returns so it doesn't matter! I got my hairpins on Amazon - also free returns so I wasn't worried. Sash, David's Bridal had some that were reasonable. I tried them there for length but am ordering from Etsy.
