Envelope wording

The invitations that were purchased for the big day have only one envelope.  This will serve as the outer and inner envelope.  My question is...since we are using only one envelope how do we address them to those families where all invited are allowed to bring guests?  What is the proper etiquette in this situation?

Every person who is in a family and is over the age if 18 should get their own invitation.  You can put a small note in the invitation, "You are invited to bring a guest."

Don't over think it.  Just address it like you would any other correspondence that uses only one envelope.
