XP : When to Send Invitations

The standard time all over wedding sites say 6-8 weeks out. Perfect.

But is that 6-8 weeks from the actual wedding date or 6-8 weeks from the RSVP due date?

I was assuming it was the actual wedding date, but I recently read 6-8 weeks from RSVP due date and now I am confused.

Just wanted to get some final input on this, thanks!

Re: XP : When to Send Invitations

  • 6-8 weeks from the wedding date. Your RSVP date should be about a week before you have to give your head count to the caterer.

  • Most RSVP dates I've seen are 3-4 weeks before the wedding date.

So usually something like send it 8 weeks out and give people a month to reply, or 6 weeks out and give people 3 weeks to reply (etc).

  • From the WEDDING DATE it is, thanks so much!
