I purchased my dress from JCrew and it fits great, except I need to have it shortened. I need some recommendations for a vendor in the Milwaukee area. Also - I am getting married on 11/14/09, so I need to get in quick! Hope everyone is enjoying planning!

    I haven't used her, nor do I have her number, BUT I keep reading that Becky in Bay View is awesome!

    Becky does come highly recommended on this board, her number is 414-483-7870.  But you are getting married in one month and she books up pretty fast, it's worth a try.

    Becky never returned my calls (at least 3), so I went to Oleg Yusufov at Oakland & Capitol in Shorewood to have a bunch of clothes altered.  He did great work.  His number is on Yelp.

    I haven't personally used her, (my rehearsal dinner dress fit, and wedding dress being altered at Gigi's where I bought it), but Bella Bridal highly recommended Mary Robbins to me. She's on 70th and Center in "Tosa 414-443-0992. Good luck! Kate

    My dress from JCrew is the Penelope dress. I tend to be pretty low-key, but wanted a dress with a little extra something! BTW - they come packaged beautifully and if you get an ivory dress, the ribbon on the box matches the dress (so you can use it for your bouquet). It also includes special tissue and bag for storage. Gotta love the one-stop service! Also - if you order a dress that doesn't work, you can return it at any JCrew store! So easy!
