Is it rude if a member of your bridal party invites a person to your wedding and to your bachelorette party ..if you have no clue who they are? I'm trying to reason with myself that i'm not being rude or out of line by telling this person that it is rude to do that.

    Yes it is rude. I posted a huge vent about similar behaviour. Its ridiculous how people think Vegas Wedding = Free for all!

    I think i remember seeing that when I was just beginning to come on this page, but i couldn't find your vent...sorry!

    here's the situation...I swear my wedding has been drama since day one...originally we had planned to do it in our hometown and we realized Vegas was going to be much cheaper. long story short...my MOH invited a guest -one of her family members to Vegas to help her out with costs....ok no problem on that, well she then took it upon herself to invite her to our wedding BUT my bachelorette party...ummm what???? I have no idea who this girl is!!! and when i pointed it out that it would be awkward for her to be there, it was back to the same thing that i have heard a million times..that she just can't go bc she won't be able to afford it

    If you offered up plus ones, I don't see it being an issue. 

    One of my bridal parties invited her gf Caitlyn to come. She asked if she could come to the bach party as well. I said sure, it is her plus one after all. I don't mind, everyone is paying for themselves anyways.

    we are paying for people, so that's why I mind:) I just find it extremely rude to just invite someone to someone's bachelorette party that you have no clue who that person is

    I think there is a difference between +1 for the wedding and the Bachelorette Party. We opened up our Bachelor/Bachelorette party nights to all of our wedding guests though and we are hosting drinks for half the night too.

    My issue was friends whose partners couldnt travel just telling me they are bringing so and so. Not asking me but just telling me. My other issue is people inviting randoms and saying "if there are any no shows, they will come to the wedding". Ummmmm NO they are NOT INVITED!

    that was my issue missmo...it was just telling me about the wedding, and party...telling me that she was coming...if you need someone to come to vegas to split costs/ walk around go to shows with...great!! Vegas is a big city! but to just TELL the person that this person is coming?? NO!
