Wedding budget? Pfft!

We just had this discussion the other day. We loved our wedding, but if we had an unlimited budget, we would have chosen one of those fancy barn or garden venues and had really, really good, plated food, and a full, top-shelf bar. We would have done a shuttle for our guests. I'd have a really nice dress. And I would have gone BAT SHIT with fresh flowers because I love them. But the one thing we wouldn't change is the guest list. We had exactly the people we wanted there: just close family and friends. I can't imagine anyone else I'd want to add (besides my grandma, who was too incapacitated to travel).

That said, our wedding suited us perfectly. And I think the simplicity of it (read: budget) set a relaxing, intimate tone that a fancier wedding would have lacked.
