I've just knitted my sister a cowl. She's the type of person who wears accessories like that, the yarn was on sale and I picked out her favorite color. I had an awesome pattern (
CLICKY) in my ravelry.com queue so I just started working and didn't stop until it was done. To be honest, I thought I'd probably set it aside after I started and pick it up in time for Christmas. Of course, now the weather has turned warmer both where I live and wear she lives so she wouldn't really need a cozy cold-weather cowl until maybe next fall. I can give it to her for her birthday (July) or I can keep it until Christmas (which seems a little too far away). Would it be weird to gift a cold-weather accessory in the middle of the summer? We don't really do spontaneous gifts but I usually just make up some jewelry for her which is a whenever gift.
