Keeping a BIG secret

FSIL is pregnant and she hasn't told FI! I'm in the loop because we're trying to figure out bridesmaids dresses. She's about 8 weeks right now and will be 30 weeks for the wedding. I'm SO excited for her and her husband! They've been trying for a while and they're so happy. But she hasn't told FI (her brother) yet. Which means I'm not telling him because I feel strongly that it should be something she decides when people find out. She mentioned that she had an appt yesterday, so I figured she'd tell FI after that. But then she emailed me back yesterday to say that the appt went well and she's planning on telling FI after her next appt next month. I have to keep this secret for a month! It's gonna be very hard to not have it slip! I had to tell SOMEONE- so internet strangers it is!

Eeep!  Congratulations FSIL!  Good luck keeping tight-lipped about it.  I would be SO happy about a niece or nephew I probably couldn't contain myself.

I feel your pain, I am not supposed to tell my sister that her DH is going to be a GM (FI was his BM).  

Side note..One of my sister's BFFs told everyone that she was pregnant!  So exciting!! SO MANY BABIES! YAYY!!

I don't know how SHE's keeping a secret, let alone you! I know some people prefer to keep it quiet for a while in case they miscarry or something but she should be pretty much out of the woods at this point. Exciting, though that would drive me nuts! I think I'd be telling everyone as soon as I got a BFP!

I waited for 12 weeks (which I JUST hit mid-week last week) before I let the cat out of the bag to multiple people.

My boss knew (due to appointments and I had an emergency one day due to pregnancy), and she let her boss know.  My HR rep knew as I need info on my short term disability, etc.  And a few of my co-workers who cover for me know, but the people I work directly under had NO clue until I told them. 

One of them relayed to me that she HAD told people prior to 12 weeks, then had a miscarriage. 

Congrats to your FSIL OP!!  She's going to look amazing at your wedding!!

I'm so glad that my FSIL is young. I would be so afraid of accidentally spilling the beans! Congrats to her and good luck to you in your endeavor to keep hush-hush, lol!
