Monday Progress Update - 03/02

It's March!!!! AAAHHHH only two more months to go. I can't believe it. I had a decently productive week. Here's what I got done:

 - Ordered sand ceremony set
 - FI asked friend to be his best man (I was not aware that this hadn’t occurred yet)
 - Set up appointment to look at flowers
 - Made map for my invitations
 - My sister mailed out bridal shower invitations (this wasn’t really an accomplishment for me but I’m super excited about it)
 - Finished making all of the inserts for my invitations
 - Ordered undergarments for my dress fitting
 - Started getting stuff for the restroom baskets

How are you girls doing?

Re: Monday Progress Update - 03/02

  • Got invites addressed, going today to get stamps so I can put in mail tonight. Bought my veil last week. Also going to order tableclothes and chair covers. Tested my lighted branches for centerpieces to make sure they all work. Everything absolutely required for a wedding ix done and paid for, now just the extras and little things
  • We did our cake tasting Friday , we are going this Wednesday to finalize all rentals needed, and booked our hotel for the wedding night ! I was so excited on March 1st...! Almost May!!
  • Ordered our guest book from Shutterfly
    Ordered earrings for me
    Ordered flip flops for ceremony
    Worked on table numbers
    Started booking our honeymoon excursions
    Scheduled my dress fitting
Picked our readings and music for ceremony

I'm really starting to stress! Can't believe we'll be sending our invitations this month!! :)
  • I didn't really do much of anything!

As mentioned before, I scored a sweet deal on a videographer, so I'm going to sign the contract and send her the deposit tonight.

The stationer has our guest addresses now, so those should be printed and shipped to us soon!

I'm going over the river to Buffalo this coming weekend to return a bathing suit I ordered from VS (I hate that you can only ship back returns in Canada, or take them to a US store) and hopefully find another one, plus a MOB dress for my mum.

  • I can't believe it's getting so close!

We finished addressing and stamping the invites so they just need to be sent out (hopefully tomorrow!)

I have my fitting this Friday and I'm so excited! (I might sneak down to the salon tomorrow to try it on...is that allowed? I want my dress!)

We met with a DOC this evening and I'm obsessed! She seemed to get exactly what we want and how we want the day to go...she suggested a lot of good ideas (like having cafe lights outside and now I'm super excited about cafe lights!)

We got a proposal from a rental company that we need to go over, but I'm excited for them because they rent out cool couches, tables, and other awesome accessories for "lounge areas."
    Anniversary
  • didn't do much....figured out who to add and send invites to from the "B list" as we've already gotten a few "Zero people will attend" RSVPs which gives me such anxiety as I'm still waiting for about half of the RSVPs to come back still.......

Its sounds bad but I think were gonna end up b listing too. Our venue is small so only room for family. I have friends that I want to invite but cant because of room and family comes first. So if some of the family declines ill he able to fit some friends in. I know b listing is frowned upon on here but I have to do what I have to do
  • I assembled my invitations and they are ready for the mail.

Meet with bridal party and everyone is set for the big day

Ordered and picked up toasting flutes.

Created our wording for sand ceremony.

  • @dluberts - I know what you mean, "the B list" (lol we even made a C list just in case!), but in our case our venue also has a min. number of people that we have to have for our event. So even if we have less than the min # show up we are still paying for the number of people the venue wants. And since it is a lot of money that my parents are paying, I feel bad having empty seats.

  • Not trying to stir the pot here, just genuinely curious...

For those who are B-listing: Do you ever worry that people on your B-list will find out that they've been B-listed and take offence to not making the cut for your first round of invites?

  • No I dont think they will. Most of my friends already know that we had to choose asmaller venue  and know that were making room for family first. They have all been ok with it so far. Some have even said if I can end up making room theyll be there and to have no worries.
