Vertically Challenged with Horizontally Challenged feet

Aka I'm short and I have wide feet. =/ So I have been looking for comfy heels that give me the height needed for my dress (about 3 inches, not too tall). The trouble is finding a nice shoe with the height and width I need and DON'T cost a fortune. I would love to find red wedges or sandal platform. So far, nine west has had the comfiest shoe. Any suggestions?

I had some really bad luck with finding shoes for my wedding. At one point, I ordered every wedge Zappos carried in an 8.5W with a 3-3.5" heel. The comfiest, IMO, is a brand called Softwalks. They don't make the most stylish shoes, but they're super comfy and come in both wide and extra-wide.
