SO I have a 17 year old nephew that is like my little brother. We are 8 years apart but super close. When I was in high school, my sister had guardianship of me so we lived together for years and used to fight like brother and sister. So he has this lovely girlfriend. Most days I like his girlfriend better than I like him. She's super cute and a competitive cheerleader. Recently I was informed that her mother constantly calls her ugly and fat. She calls the poor girl fat so much it has gotten to the point where she has stopped eating. so she's 16 and her mother's comments which are 1000% untrue (but really it shouldn't matter) have created a complex and shes become anorexic. But wait, she also informed me that she had an eating disorder, brought on by her mother's comments, when she was in 4th grade. Whenever I'm doing wedding stuff or anything with my nephew I invite the girlfriend to come along so she is spending as little time at home as possible.
Some people don't deserve to be parents.
